This transformed bedroom has architectural details that bring this space to life!  The drop ceiling and gorgeously designed bookcase behind the bed really frame the room and add a focal point to display anything from books to accessories.  The platform bed has beautiful lines which flows from the bookcases with the greenery on either side balancing out the space.

Magnificent Light

Magnificent Light

This grand room has magnificent architectural details with a variety of window shapes illuminating this stunning room. The stark white contrast of the walls and furniture allows the light to bounce off the surfaces and lets the dark wood accents ground the room. The large wall painting brings vibrant colors to complete this gorgeous space.

Flow

Flow

This open interior flows beautifully from one space into another. The clean lines in the geometric dining chairs play against the modern circular lighting and black and white photography with pops of floral lime accents on the table. This is carried over in the back of the bookcases accented with lime green. The red chairs add a punch of color to draw your eyes in to the design. The herringbone dark floors ground the entire elegant space.

Texture

Texture

This interior by Kelly Hoppen has beautiful clean lines that are enhanced by textures from the animal print chairs, the leather textured pillows, to the natural white corals and the texture in the pattern of the wood in the fireplace. Although you can have a neutral toned room textured fabrics and accessories can add richness to any interior.

Sanctuary

Santuary

Throughout this frigidly cold winter, this bathtub looks like the perfect sanctuary to escape! The rich cherry wood accents and the beautiful blue stained glass reflecting into the space make this such a welcoming room. The warm bamboo lends a natural feel with the flat screen television completing the space to be a destination that one would not want to ever leave!

Wall of wood!

Wall of wood!

So this is a photo of Patrick Dempsey’s living room at his Malibu home. The wall of firewood provides a focal point with the fireplace and also provides a wall of art. One questions though do you really need that much firewood in Malibu?! Love the earthy and natural feel of the room though. It is a place that looks welcoming as a cozy place to lay down and read a book.

Vibrant Italian Exterior

Vibrant Italian Exterior

Color! It is such a simple idea but can be translated so differently. In America most of the exteriors of homes are muted pale tones, except for Miami:), and the interiors can have brighter pops of color. On the other hand many foreign countries do the exact opposite with the exterior of the buildings being vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows and the interiors are modern with muted neutral tones. Why do you think that is?
